Often you’ll find that the plantar fascia can become tight and tender, and form adhesions. This will cause dysfunction within the arch of the foot and even further up the kinetic chain. Often very painful in the mornings and quite often seen in individuals with flat feet (overpronation).
A great way to release this tension and pain is to use a tennis ball or a frozen bottle of water.
Perform the plantar fascia release technique for 2 – 3 minutes working all the soft tissue underneath the foot. This release should be performed regularly throughout the day.
